‘Babri Masjid demolition was display of intolerance in India’

Srinagar, December 06, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqui, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Molvi Bashir Ahmad and Muhammad Ramzan Khan have termed the December 6 Babri Masjid demolition incident as display of intolerance in India.

The Hurriyet leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said when Babri Masjid was vandalized and raised to ground by Hindu fanatics in India thousands of innocent and unarmed were also massacred in different parts of India. They described the act as shameful and unfortunate which injured the religious sentiment of Muslims around the world and was an extreme display of intolerance.

The leaders said that fanatical and communal groups were openly waging suppressive tactics against Muslims of Kashmir after brutalizing Indian Muslims and enjoy full patronage of the authorities. The leadership observed that Kashmiri truck drivers were attacked openly by the fanatic Hindutva goons and it resulted in recent killing of one innocent Kashmiri truck driver and continuously the lives of valley-based drivers were being made miserable by the fanatics.
