APHC leaders condole death of Maulana Bashir Farooqi in IIOJK

Srinagar, January 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of prominent religious scholar and Hurriyat leader, Maulana Bashir Ahmad Farooqi.

APHC leaders, Umar Aadil Dar, Dr Musaib, Ghulam Rasool, Ajaz-ul-Haq, Advocate Asif and others visited the house of Bashir Ahmad Farooqi at Roosu in Badgam and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. They paid rich tributes to the deceased for his services he rendered for the Kashmir cause and social work in the society. They urged the people to forge greater unity in their ranks to take the ongoing freedom movement to its logical conclusion.

The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) in a statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the leading religious scholar, preacher and orator Mirwaiz Maulana Yaseen Hamdani on his 29th death anniversary. The AAC said that Maulana Hamdani was not only a prominent member of the Mirwaiz Family but also had very close religious relations with the Mirwaiz Family, especially the AAC founder Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq.

Maulana Hamdani along with other contemporary leaders, under the leadership of Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq played a valuable role in the movement for Moye Muqaddas (SAW), the AAC said.

Meanwhile, it also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of prominent religious scholar and Hurriyat leader Maulana Bashir Ahmad Farooqi. APHC leader Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement in Srinagar also condoled the death of Maulana Bashir Ahmad Farooqi and expressed solidarity with the aggrieved family.

APHC-AJK chapter leader Syed Aijaz Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad paid homage to Maulana Bashir Farooqi and said that his sacrifices for the Kashmir cause would always be remembered. He also urged India to shun its rigid stance on the Kashmir dispute and resolve it in accordance with the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
