Karachi, May 06, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi said Faizee Rahimeen Auditorium would be a unique and huge auditorium in Pakistan where educational, literary and cultural activities will be held after completion of construction work. All available resources will be used for early completion of other uplift works in the city.
He said this while addressing a meeting on the construction of Faizee Rahimeen Auditorium and Art Gallery. Administrator Karachi said Karachi was a city of educated and cultural people and it was necessary to have such a hug auditorium in the city to provide a good platform for presenting the art and work of local artists.
He said the construction of this auditorium had been delayed since long time but now this project will be completed in least possible time. He said the project of Faizee Rahimeen Auditorium also include the construction of a huge seminar hall, a modern art gallery, conference room and cafeteria.
The main auditorium would have the capacity for 1800 people whereas a conference room for 500 persons. Administrator Karachi said this project will cost Rs530million in which landscaping, fire alarm system, CCTV cameras; standby generator, cargo and passenger elevators will also be installed in the covered area of 33,263 Sq. feet. He said the citizens of Karachi need to be provided with more and more recreational facilities as an encouragement to positive and constructive activities.
