Islamabad wants to see Afghanistan as arena for international cooperation: Majeed 

Islamabad, August 28, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Asad Majeed Khan says investment in peace in Afghanistan is the best way to counter terrorism. In an interview with a German television channel, ZDF, he said if there is no peace in Afghanistan, there would be ungoverned spaces where terrorist groups could potentially find safe havens as before. Asad Majeed underlined the need of an inclusive government in Afghanistan to ensure long-term stability of the war-ravaged country. He said Pakistan will continue its cooperation with international community in combating terrorism, as it itself faces threats from some terrorist groups

Fawad urges world community to play role in resolving crisis in Afghanistan

Islamabad, August 28, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has urged the world community to come forward and play its due role in resolving the current crisis in Afghanistan. Talking to newsmen in Karachi on Saturday, he said the crisis can be averted only by formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan. The Information Minister warned that eruption of an international crisis cannot be averted if the world community closed its eyes towards the current situation in the war-torn country. Comprehensive plan chalked out to achieve inclusive growth: Finance Minister

Pakistan helping in plans to fly medical supplies to Afghanistan: WHO

Islamabad, August 28, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan is supporting the efforts by World Health Organization to fly humanitarian supplies into Afghanistan where medical stocks are dwindling and Kabul airport has been crippled by a terrorist attack. COVID-19: 120 more deaths, 4,191 cases reported in country

According to the National Command and Operation Center, 61,306 tests were conducted while the positivity ratio remained six point eight three percent. Security forces kill terrorist in an IBO in North Waziristan 

Islamabad, August 28, 2021 (PPI-OT):A terrorist has been killed in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) by Security Forces in Spinwam area of North Waziristan district. According to ISPR, the operation was conducted after reported presence of terrorists in the area. Weapon and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.
