COVID-19 claims eight more patients, infects 373 others

Karachi, July 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):As many as eight more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 5,528 and 373 new cases emerged when 9,743 tests were conducted. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Monday. He added that 15 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 5,528 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate. Mr. Shah said that 9,743 samples were tested which detected 373 cases that constituted 3.8 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 4,580,272 tests have been conducted

Pakistan Navy Ship ZULFIQUAR visits Tunis (Tunisia)

WAPDA generated 37 billion units hydel electricity in FY 2020-21

Lahore, July 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):The hydel power stations of Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) cumulatively generated 37.147 billion units of low-cost and environment-friendly electricity during fiscal year 2020-21, that ended on June 30. The hydel generation by WAPDA is almost equal to that of fiscal year 2019-20 and 3.08 billion units more if compared with the average annual hydel generation during the last 10 years.
