Lahore, November 01, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 29000 cusecs and Outflows 45000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 3300 cusecs and Outflows 3300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 5300 cusecs and Outflows 30000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8800 cusecs and Outflows 2000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 53700 cusecs and Outflows 47700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 45500 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 37800 cusecs and Outflows 37300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 6760 cusecs and Outflows 3760 cusecs Guddu: Inflows 49700 cusecs and Outflows 33500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 32500 cusecs and Outflows 7550 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 7400 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1479.23 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.612 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1179.85 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.289 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 639.20 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.026 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
