Islamabad, December 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police apprehended 13 outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Kohsar police arrested an accused namely Salman and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Likewise, the Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Shahbaz involved in bootlegging and recovered 30 bottles liquor from his possession.
Similarly, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Arsalan Haider involved in illegally gas filling. The Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Waqas and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Moreover, the Noon police arrested an accused namely Tariq and recovered 520 gram hashish from his possession. Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Shahbaz and recovered one 9mm pistol from his possession.
Furthermore, the Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Umair and recovered 1120 gram hashish from his possession.
During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested six absconders from different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
