Islamabad, December 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police apprehended 13 criminals from different areas of the city and recovered drugs, valuables and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Bhara Kahu police arrested an accused namely Mudassar Tanveer and recovered 1203 gram heroin from his possession. Likewise, the Phulghran police team arrested an accused namely Adnan and recovered 390 gram hashish from his possession.
Similarly, the Margalla police arrested two accused namely Shabrat Hussain and Subhan and recovered 1040 gram hashish from their possession. Shalimar police team arrested a lady accused namely Rehana Bibi and recovered stolen valuables from her possession.
Moreover, the Golra police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Asad involved in illegally petrol selling. Koral police arrested an accused namely Suleman Khan and recovered 1257 gram hashish from his possession. Noon police arrested accused Musa Jan and recovered 515 gram hashish from his possession. Lohi bher police arrested accused namely Muhammad Umer and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
During the special crackdown against court absconders and proclaimed offenders, Islamabad capital police arrested 04 proclaimed offenders from different areas of the city. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The safety of citizens’ lives and property is the prime responsibility of Islamabad capital police. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard, he maintained.
