Islamabad: The Deputy Speaker, Faisal Karim Kundi has said inaugurated a 3 day Building Materials Exhibition organized by Institute of Architects Pakistan (IAP). Speaking on the occasion he said that government taking keen interest in promotion of the housing sector and intended to introduce investment friendly policies in this sector to overcome the accommodation problems in the country.
He said that housing sector was playing an important role in generating the economic activities in the country besides, providing jobs to million of people. He said that provision of shelter to shelterless people is top priority of the present democratic setup in the country.
He said that public private partnership is necessary to overcome the accommodation problems in the country. He stressed the need for introducing low cast housing units so that in it could be easily affordable to the masses.
He appreciated the efforts of Institute of Architects Pakistan management for organizing exhibition. The Deputy Speaker said that such events would promote local industry and young talent and would also provide a platform to the members of the building trade to display their products and interacted with Architectural community, interior designers, developers and other allied construction professional all over the country.
The Deputy Speaker also visited different stalls installed by the different companies working in manufacturing building materials and take keen interest in the products. Earlier Chairman IAP briefed the Deputy Speaker that IAP had organized such exhibition for the last many years and leading national and international architects investor landscape designer, Engineers and people from all walks of life took keen interest and enthusiastically participated in those exhibitions.
He said that various national and international companies were taking part in this three day exhibition and displaying their latest innovations and architecture designing and engineering.
