Lahore, September 22, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 59400 cusecs and Outflows 100000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 8500 cusecs and Outflows 8500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 11100 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 21900 cusecs and Outflows 7000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 126700 cusecs and Outflows 119200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 121700 cusecs and Outflows 120000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 141800 cusecs and Outflows 123400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 10900 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 119200 cusecs and Outflows 94300 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 87800 cusecs and Outflows 33900 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 33500 cusecs and Outflows 400.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1511.24 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 4.087 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1214.15 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.323 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642.80 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.089 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
