Lahore, September 12, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 94800 cusecs and Outflows 130000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 18300 cusecs and Outflows 18300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 17700 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 31700 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 166800 cusecs and Outflows 159300 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 166100 cusecs and Outflows 160000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 148300 cusecs and Outflows 129900 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 26200 cusecs and Outflows 11600 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 141000 cusecs and Outflows 106300 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 99000 cusecs and Outflows 42100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 52600 cusecs and Outflows 15300.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1531.10 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.114 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1224.60 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.070 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.60 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.186 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
