Lahore, September 09, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 96000 cusecs and Outflows 130000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 16900 cusecs and Outflows 16900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 15900 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 33800 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 157500 cusecs and Outflows 150000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 159000 cusecs and Outflows 155000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 153700 cusecs and Outflows 134200 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 35900 cusecs and Outflows 21100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 138300 cusecs and Outflows 104200 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 98100 cusecs and Outflows 42500 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 81000 cusecs and Outflows 43800.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1534.97 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.326 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1226.50 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.210 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 647.50 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.220 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
