Islamabad, August 21, 2017 (PPI-OT): Mr. Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB who is representing NAB in International Conference on Anti Corruption has said that NAB is committed to eradicate corruption. Prevention of corruption is integral component for the implementation of provision of United Nation Convention Against corruption (UNCAC). In the inaugural session of the conference, Mr. Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB highlighted NAB’s Anti-Corruption Strategy and new initiatives taken by the present management of NAB in order to eradicate corruption by Pakistan on the basis of lesson learnt and Good practices in elimination of corruption.
All the participants appreciated NAB’s Anti-Corruption Strategy especially NAB’s proactive campaign on Awareness and Prevention on “SAY NO TO CORRUPTION”. He said that today eradication of corruption is the top priority of NAB and NAB is committed to curb corruption, recover looted money from corrupt and deposit it in the national exchequer. He said that during the tenure of present management of NAB, NAB has recovered Rs. 50 billion which is a record achievement. He said that NAB’s conviction ratio is about 75% which is also an exemplary achievement for any Anti Corruption agency in Pakistan.
