Afghan President Ashraf Ghani telephones the Prime Minister

Islamabad, August 08, 2017 (PPI-OT):Afghan President Ashraf Ghani made a telephone call to Prime Minister and congratulated him on his election as Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Afghan President expressed satisfaction over the smooth transition and said that it’s good for democracy in Pakistan. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi thanked the President and said that terrorism is a common threat for both the countries.

We will work with Afghanistan for security and stability in the region, further said the Prime Minister. Terrorism is a common enemy and we will work together to eliminate this menace from the region, the Prime Minister stated. We will also work together to address the challenge of energy in the region and improve the economic condition in Pakistan and Afghanistan, it was agreed.
