Lahore, August 05, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 324800 cusecs and Outflows 269500 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 66000 cusecs and Outflows 66000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 32300 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 95300 cusecs and Outflows 82800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 405500 cusecs and Outflows 397500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 444800 cusecs and Outflows 441800 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 386500 cusecs and Outflows 380500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 31500 cusecs and Outflows 16000 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 248200 cusecs and Outflows 214000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 196000 cusecs and Outflows 139700 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 122700 cusecs and Outflows 82900.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1537.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.438 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1229.35 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.420 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 645.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.143 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
