Lahore, August 05, 2017 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting to review the steps regarding provision of quality treatment facilities in the hospitals. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that service to the ailing humanity is a form of worship and treatment of patents is a noble cause.
He said that medical is a dignified profession and has the status of “Masihai”. He said that people associated with medical profession earn blessings of Allah Almighty in this world and the world hereafter. He said that availability of quality treatment facilities in the hospitals is right of the patients and increase of billions of rupees has been made by Punjab government in the salaries and incentives of persons linked with this sector.
He said that salaries of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff are far more as compared to other provinces. He said that government has subsidized medical education and medical facilities are being improved in the hospitals through spending resources of billions of rupees. He said that for the first time in the history of the province, common man is receiving the same standard medicines as are used by the elite. He said that quality medicines of billions of rupees are being provided to the deserving patients in the hospitals every year.
He said that performance of the institutions can be improved through the system of punishment and reward. He said that doctors, nurses and paramedical staff participating actively in the sacred cause of service to ailing humanity are being encouraged. He said that we salute doctors, nurses and paramedical staff serving the ailing humanity. Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Kh. Salman Rafiq, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home and Secretaries of concerned departments were present on the occasion
