Lahore, July 12, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 264100 cusecs and Outflows 175000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 55600 cusecs and Outflows 55600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 56200 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 86800 cusecs and Outflows 51500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 236200 cusecs and Outflows 228200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 252100 cusecs and Outflows 240000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 212700 cusecs and Outflows 184200 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 19600 cusecs and Outflows 4100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 187100 cusecs and Outflows 148200 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 126000 cusecs and Outflows 71300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 43100 cusecs and Outflows 2400.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1485.64 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.891 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1209.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.014 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 644.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.118 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
