Lahore, May 30, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows192300 cusecs and Outflows 120000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 69300 cusecs and Outflows 69300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 60300 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 68000 cusecs and Outflows 40700 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 181200 cusecs and Outflows174200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 179700 cusecs and Outflows 180000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 152700 cusecs and Outflows 134800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows11300 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 105900 cusecs and Outflows 91800 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 84100 cusecs and Outflows 39500 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows16300 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1456.78 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.682 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1158.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 2.331 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.167 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
